Explore the beautiful mangrove forest of Utila. With beautiful waterways, canals and lagoons filled with many different types of mangrove such as red, black and white mangroves and very rare Orchids.
You will see all sorts of different species of wild life, wild birds, critters, fish, rays, iguanas and even the Swamper. The Swamper is a species of Iguana that lives only in the swamps of Utila. It is not found anywhere else in the world! The tour takes you through Utila’s upper lagoon waterway’s and canals all the way to Landing Lake. Then we are off to Oyster Bed Lagoon, Utilas’s largest lagoon, for a full tour of it. Then we take the canal that leads right through the center of the island all the way to Rock Harbor on the North side of Utila. We do a bit of snorkeling and then we have lunch in Rock Harbor. After that we head back through the canal back to Eastern Harbor, Utila.
The trip includes Drinks, Snacks, Snorkel gear & water.
The whole tour last around 4.5-5 hours.
